PES was born as the People’s Education Society in 1973, to provide education to underprivileged children. We have grown into one of India’s leading universities, but our values of Perseverance, Excellence and Service, remain unchanged.
Founded — People's Education Society
Founded as the People’s Education Society (PES) by Prof. M.R. Doreswamy, starting with a school for underprivileged children in Thyagarajanagar, Bengaluru.
Pre-University & Undergraduate
Expansion into pre-university and undergraduate education.
Campus Growth
Establishment of engineering and management institutions under PES.
University Status Achieved
PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) gains university status and becomes PES University.
Academics, Research & Innovation
Rapid growth in academic programs, research, infrastructure, and digital learning platforms like PESU Academy.
