With a strong desire and commitment to serve the cause of education as a nation building process, Dr. M.R. Doreswamy MLC, Chancellor, PES University, Chairman, PES Institutions has seeded PES in the south of Bangalore in 1972.

PES PU Program started in 1973 with student strength of 40. Currently has a student strength of 1600. It is a 2 year program of State syllabus under Pre University Board, Govt. of Karnataka.

All Programs offered under auspices of PES are guided by its Campus-wide Quality Improvement Program (CWQIP) — a patent of PES. It brings accountability to the Teaching Learning process and creates a platform for an all round development of a student.
